A Grand Blood Donation Campaign Unites Batticaloa for a Noble Cause

The International College of Science and Technology (ICST University Park) proudly hosted a large-scale blood donation campaign on 30 September 2025, marking a significant milestone in community-driven healthcare support. Organized with the wholehearted support of the Rotary Club of Batticaloa Heritage and the active participation of the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital, the event drew an impressive turnout of 150 donors. Among them were university students, staff members, military personnel, garment factory workers, and members of the public — all united by a shared commitment to saving lives.

A Strong Community Presence

The event was graced by the presence of:

  • The Deputy Vice-Chancellor of ICST University Park
  • Senior administrative officers and faculty members
  • Representatives from the Rotary Club of Batticaloa Heritage
  • Dedicated doctors and medical staff from Batticaloa Teaching Hospital

Their collective involvement underscored the power of collaboration between educational institutions, service organizations, and healthcare providers.

This campaign not only contributed to replenishing vital blood reserves but also fostered a spirit of compassion and civic responsibility among participants. It served as a reminder that small acts like donating blood  can have life-saving consequences for those in need.

The Rotary Club of Batticaloa Heritage remains committed to supporting such humanitarian efforts and looks forward to future partnerships that uplift the community.
